Full datasheet

The specifications on this page are complete and stay open, no form needed. The PDF datasheet, drawings and CAD files we send directly so we know who has them and can tell you if a spec is revised.

Optional, but it is the fastest way for us to tell you where we differ. We will not add you to a mailing list.

Certification for Canada

No certification required for installation

This model does not connect to line voltage, so it falls outside the SCC accredited certification requirement for installation in Ontario. Nothing here needs an inspector's sign off on that basis.

Low voltage or bench equipment. Where a mains powered accessory such as a power supply is included, that component carries its own listing, which is confirmed separately.

Certification is stated as it actually is. Where something is outstanding it says so, because an uncertified unit can be refused at installation no matter how well it performs, and finding that out on the day is expensive.

Where the requirement actually comes from

You do not have to take our word for any of this. These are the governing documents. Read them, or send them to whoever is asking.

Ontario Electrical Safety Code, O. Reg. 164/99

The regulation that adopts the Code in Ontario. Current edition adopts CSA C22.1:24 with Ontario Amendments, in force since 1 May 2025.

Rule 2-024, approval of electrical equipment

The approval rule itself. Equipment is approved when it bears a mark from a certification body accredited by the Standards Council of Canada.

ESA Bulletin 2-7-29

ESA's own guidance on Rules 2-022 and 2-024. Lists the recognised certification marks, field evaluation marks and component marks, and includes a section specifically on devices supplied from Class 2 circuits.

Ontario Regulation 438/07, electrical product safety

The product safety regulation ESA administers. It applies to electrical products both before and after sale, not only at installation.

Standards Council of Canada, accredited certification bodies

Where to confirm that a certification body is actually accredited. CSA, UL/cUL, Intertek ETL, QPS and others appear here.

The references above are provided so the requirement can be checked directly rather than taken on anyone's word. They are not legal advice and they are not a determination for a particular installation. Whether approval is required in your case, and whether a given product satisfies it, is decided by the Code as applied to your installation and by your inspector or the authority having jurisdiction. Where there is any doubt, confirm with ESA before equipment is installed or energised.

What ships, and what else you need

The commonest reason a delivery sits in a crate for a fortnight is a missing bracket or the wrong supply. This is what is in the box and what has to be on site for it to run.

    In the box

    Instrument
    Manual
    Calibration certificate where applicable

    Required, not supplied

Mounting or tripodDepends on standoff and field of view.
LensWhere the body ships without one. Field of view and working distance decide it.
Data cable and capture interfaceCoaXPress, CameraLink, GigE or USB3. Confirm what the PC supports.

    Worth considering

LightingHigh speed work is nearly always short of light.
Trigger and sync cablingFor multi camera or load frame synchronisation.
Analysis software licenceWhere the analysis package is separate from the hardware.

Tell us the installation and these get specified on the quote with the sensor, so nothing is discovered on the day.

    How it works

RESOLUTION → FRAME RATE → 100,000 fps on a cropped strip what you actually get at full frame
The headline figure is nearly always quoted on a small region of interest. Ask for it at the resolution you need.

Photography and application video for this model are being prepared. Ask and we will send whatever we have.

What you get buying through us

    • Direct line to the technical professional who quoted it. No call centre, no commission.
    • Send us your part. We will scan it and send you the profile data before you buy.

    Comparing this against something else?

Send us the model you are using or quoting against, or the datasheet, and you will get a written comparison the same day. Every specification we publish is on this page already, so you can put them side by side yourself first.

    • Their brand and model, or a link to their page
    • What it is measuring or driving
    • Anything that has to stay the same, mounting, interface, footprint
    Send it for comparison

We include the rows where their unit is better. If what you have is the right answer, we will tell you.

    Price and availability

    $Quoted per application

Pricing depends on configuration, quantity and freight to your site, so it is quoted rather than listed. You will get a real number the same day, not a form response.

    Request a quote

Quotes are landed in Canadian dollars with duty and freight included, so the number you see is the number you pay.

Call 289 257 7015 or send it through and you will have an answer the same day.

Send the part you need to measure or the unit you are replacing. You will get a straight answer on whether this fits, including where it does not.
