Products and capability
Laser profiling, motors, imaging, strain and vibration test equipment supplied in Canada.
What we supply, and what we are actively sourcing
We run an open sourcing programme across industrial sensing, measurement, and test. Lines marked available can be quoted today. Lines marked in sourcing are under active manufacturer evaluation, and if you have a requirement in one of them, telling us moves it up the queue and often gets you first pricing.

3D laser profilometers for weld bead inspection and wide area measurement
A line laser scanner projects a laser stripe across the part and reads the reflected profile by triangulation, returning a full 2D cross section thousands of times per second. Moved along the part, those profiles stitch into a 3D surface. It is how inline dimensional inspection is done on surfaces that a touch probe cannot reach and a camera cannot measure.
Bead height, width, leg length, undercut, and volume measured on the line. A blue laser source holds a stable reading through glare, scale, and the colour variation left by the arc, so results do not shift between a bright weld and an oxidised one.
Field widths to 565 mm with 380 mm of Z range cover structural steel, lumber and panel, tire and wheel, battery trays, castings, and rail. One pass instead of stitching several narrow scanners together.
Step height, gap and flush, warpage, thickness, groove depth, coating and sealant bead volume, and surface defect detection at up to 10 kHz, with results available to the PLC while the part is still moving.
Choosing between a laser displacement sensor and a laser profilometer
A laser displacement sensor measures a single point, and is the right tool for distance, thickness, runout, and presence checks. A 3D laser profilometer measures an entire line at once, and is the right tool whenever the shape matters: a weld bead, a formed edge, a machined groove, or a surface you need to check for dents and warp. If you can describe the measurement as a cross section rather than a number, you need a profile measurement sensor.
The specs that decide a profilometer are field width at your working distance, Z range and standoff, Z repeatability, X data interval, and scan rate at full profile output. Ask for scan rate stated at the full point count, not at a reduced region of interest, because a headline rate quoted on a cropped field will not hold on a production line.
Replacement induction motors, IEC and NEMA frame cross reference
Three phase induction motors from 0.10 HP to 75 HP: TEFC and flameproof, IE2 and IE3 energy efficient, inverter duty, crane and hoist duty, geared and geared brake, cooling tower, vibrator, textile and loom, multi speed, lift and elevator duty, stainless shaft washdown, torque motors, and stator and rotor sets.
A 415 V 50 Hz IEC motor is not a drop in replacement for a 460 V or 575 V 60 Hz NEMA frame. Running a 50 Hz motor at 60 Hz raises synchronous speed by about 20 percent and changes torque, cooling, and shaft loading. Frame centre height, foot pattern, shaft diameter and keyway all differ. We state the deviation in writing on every quote.
Ex d IIB and IIC flameproof motors and flameproof brake motors for gas group areas, plus dust ignition applications. North American hazardous location approval is confirmed per model, per certifying body, at time of quote.
Crane, hoist, and elevator duty motors rated S3, S4 and S5 for high starting frequency, plus inverter duty motors with VFD rated insulation for variable speed drives, cooling tower motors for vertical wet service, and low vibration motors where grade A balance is required.
What we need to cross reference a motor
Send the nameplate: HP or kW, RPM and pole count, frame size, mounting (foot, C face, D flange), enclosure (ODP, TEFC, TENV, washdown), voltage, frequency, phase, service factor, insulation class, efficiency class, and the hazardous area rating if any. A photo is enough. Common brands we cross from include WEG, Baldor and ABB, Siemens, Toshiba, Marathon, Leeson, Nidec, TECO, and Lafert.
High speed cameras, DIC strain measurement and vibration test systems
Test lab and R&D instrumentation: ultra high speed cameras, event cameras (DVS), scientific and hyperspectral cameras, PIV particle image velocimetry, digital image correlation strain measurement, video extensometers, electrodynamic and hydraulic vibration test systems, shock and impact test tables, and active vibration isolation.
Frame rate is the spec that decides the purchase, and it must be quoted at the resolution you need, not at a cropped region of interest. Ask us for fps at full frame, minimum exposure, onboard memory and record duration, global shutter, trigger and multi camera sync, interface (CoaXPress, CameraLink, GigE, USB3) and lens mount. Event cameras (DVS) respond per pixel at microsecond latency for motion that conventional frame rates miss.
Full field 2D and 3D digital image correlation for strain and displacement mapping, and non contact video extensometers for tensile testing on a load frame. Specify field of view and standoff, strain resolution, sampling rate, speckle pattern requirements, and whether it must integrate with an existing Instron or MTS frame and its data acquisition.
Electrodynamic shakers, hydraulic vibration systems, drop and impact test series, crash simulation sleds, and combined environment chambers. Sine force and random force are separate ratings on the same machine. Specify both, plus frequency range, displacement stroke, payload and table size, shock pulse in g and duration, and the standard being met, such as MIL-STD-810, ISTA, IEC 60068 or ASTM.
Replacing or adding to an existing lab
We cross reference against the systems already in North American labs, including Photron FASTCAM, Vision Research Phantom, IDT, Mikrotron, Optronis, Basler, Teledyne, Specim, Correlated Solutions VIC, GOM Aramis, LaVision, Epsilon, Instron and MTS extensometers, and Bruel and Kjaer, IMV, Unholtz Dickie, Data Physics and Lansmont shakers. Send the model you are replacing and the test you need to run.
