Uppal Automation

What we do

How Uppal Automation vets manufacturers, and how we talk about other people's equipment.

Most of the work in this business is not selling the equipment. It is finding out which manufacturers are worth dealing with in the first place.

Sourcing this equipment yourself is not hard because the equipment is hard. It is hard because dozens of manufacturers make something that looks identical on a web page, and you cannot tell from the outside which of them will send a real datasheet, which will answer a technical question in under a week, which will still exist in three years, and which will quietly ship you a revised part with different mounting.

We contacted them, across every category we carry. We asked the awkward questions: what is the scan rate at full output, who is your certificate actually issued to, what happens when this fails in Ontario. Some answered properly. Most did not. What is on this site is what is left after that.

The filtering is most of the value here. The hardware is the part you can see.

01

The search is already done

You describe the problem once. You do not chase ten manufacturers, translate three datasheets, or find out after ordering that the software is an SDK and you needed a programmer.

02

Vetted on responsiveness, not just specification

A supplier who cannot answer a technical question in a week cannot support you in production. That was as much a filter as the numbers on the datasheet.

03

Warranty is our problem, not yours

If it fails, you call us. We handle the claim, the freight and the replacement with the manufacturer. You do not open a ticket with a factory in another time zone and wait.

04

Support that does not end at the invoice

Commissioning questions, a spec that needs re-checking two years later, a replacement when a model is superseded. Same person, same number.

05

Deviations in writing, every time

Where an equivalent differs from what you are replacing, it is stated on the quote before you commit. No surprises discovered at installation.

How we talk about equipment

We do not run down other people's products

It is the question we get on every site visit. What is the difference between this and that, and what are the people behind it like to deal with. Here is how we answer it.

There are very few bad products

There are products being asked to do something they were never built for. A sensor failing in your application is usually a specification problem, not a quality problem, and the honest answer is that you are pushing its limits rather than that the brand is poor.

Companies go to market differently

Some put nearly everything into hardware and ship a capable sensor with a bare SDK. Others put it into software and ship configurable tools a technician can set up in an afternoon. The underlying capability is often close. What differs is who inside your company ends up owning the project.

Fit is the only useful question

Not which is better. Which suits this duty, this environment, this team, and this budget. We will tell you when the equipment you already have is the right answer and you do not need to buy anything.

Why this matters to you

A supplier who trashes every competitor is selling, not advising, and you cannot trust their assessment of their own product either. Ontario is a small market and word travels. A bad recommendation costs more than a lost order.

Why source through Uppal

The wrong motor costs more than the motor.

A misapplied unit shows up later as downtime, a nuisance trip, or a warranty claim nobody can trace. We qualify the duty before quoting and put any deviation in writing, so it is your call rather than a surprise.

20+ Years manufacturing

Our manufacturing partner holds ISO 9001:2015 certification and builds to CE, UL/CUL, naval, and rail approval standards on its qualified lines. North American certification is confirmed per model at time of quote.

500+ Manufacturer & integrator network

Built through direct fieldwork across Canadian ag, mining, and industrial accounts, not cold outreach.

2 Product families, one point of contact
