Rapid Parts

The part is four weeks out.
The line cannot wait four weeks.

3D printed metal and engineering polymer parts, made from your drawing or a sample, to keep production running while the real component is manufactured.

The problem

One specialised component stops everything

It is rarely the expensive machine that stops a plant. It is a bracket, a manifold, an impeller, a guide, a gear, a fixture. Something nobody stocks because only your machine uses it, and the original maker quotes three or four weeks because it is a batch of one.

CONVENTIONAL ROUTE quote · queue · tooling · machining · finishing · freight 3 to 4 weeks RAPID PART print · finish · air freight days, not weeks The difference is not the price of the part. It is what the plant earns in the weeks between.
A bridge part buys back the production time while the permanent component is made properly.
How it works

Send a drawing, a scan, or the broken part

Send what you have

A STEP or IGES file, a 2D drawing, or photographs of the failed component with a rule beside it. We work from any of them.

We come back with a route

Material, process, expected mechanical properties, cost and delivery. Including an honest note on where a printed part will differ from the original.

Printed and finished

Metal or engineering polymer depending on the duty. Machined where a tolerance or a thread demands it.

Shipped direct

Air freight to your plant. Duty and customs handled, quoted landed in Canadian dollars.

Where this fits

Good candidates, and honest limits

Works well

Brackets and mounts, guides and wear strips, manifolds, housings, jigs and fixtures, impellers, gauge and inspection tooling, obsolete parts with no supplier left, and anything where the drawing is lost and the part has to be reverse engineered.

Works with care

Load bearing components, sealing faces, anything running hot, and gears. Possible, but the material and process have to be chosen deliberately and we will say what the part will and will not do.

We will tell you not to

Pressure vessel components, lifting equipment, anything with a code stamp or a safety function, and parts where a printed substitute would void a certification. A fast part is not worth the exposure.

Bridge, not replacement

This is a bridge while the proper part is manufactured. Where a printed part turns out to be the better permanent answer, that is a separate conversation with its own qualification.
